This has been one of my absolute favorite games for years. You can also randomize new levels if you want to fight the AI. You can build and play as long as you want by modern standards AI. In this game, less micromanagement of units required allowing the player to focus more on the real-time strategy part of the game. As for the number of civilizations and maps, a bit more options in terms of games rules and maps would’ve been nice.īetter than Rising of Nations and Age of Mythology in every way, better unit villager, and military control. But the AI can be pretty stupid sometimes, then some really simple things are missing from the game. The expansions are fun to play, and the music and sound effects are nice to listen.
The real gem here is the competitive multiplayer aspect.
The campaigns are a good introduction to the mechanics of the game and provide a great storyline. Visually the game is stunning, the graphics look good and the animations are just a delight to watch.
